ABOUT ME

Design is the universal language that speaks to all.

Thank you for stopping by!

How it all started

In the summer of 2018, my first teaching trip to remote Daliangshan where I witnessed children were disconnected from the world's advancements, their educational opportunities dimmed by geographic and social barriers.

Ever since then, every summer I would go to volunteer teaching and stirve to create solutions that bridge these vast divides, ensuring technology is accessible and empowering for all.

Spare time

I have a passion for music, with three original songs to my name. I enjoy crafting rhythms, chords, and lyrics, and performing live at local venues.

Beyond music, you can find me spend my time skateboarding, experimenting with new recipes, or watching thrill movies.

Hi there, I'm Jiajie

I passionate about creating design serves as a bridge, connecting and understanding people, transcending backgrounds and identities

The Journey Begins...

At the University of Washington, I began with psychology to understand human behavior but soon saw the need to apply these insights practically. This led me to UX/Product design, prompting a double major in Psychology and Informatics, with a focus on HCI. This field perfectly merges psychological principles with creative solutions.

This shift marked the beginning of my journey toward impactful, user-centric innovation, enabling me to design inclusive and effective digital experiences.

Keep Exploring, Make It Happen

To my advantage, I was able to leverage my deep understanding of psychology and extensive teaching experience to greatly expedite my journey into Human-Computer Interaction (HCI).

I thrive on solving problems through design, and I greatly value visual storytelling, precision, and empathy in creating user experiences that are not just functional but truly resonant.
